Roche - Rock My Meter!

Interactive Design Experience
Roche Diagnostics asked SpectraCom to create an experience that would be fun, engaging, and lend well to a viral marketing program.  SpectraCom responded by designing an experience that would enable visitors to create a design on a virtual ACCU-CHEK Aviva meter.  Users can select and manipulate graphical elements including colors, shapes, sizes and transparencies, and even apply textures.  Through this experience, visitors are able to actively connect with the core message—that the ACCU-CHEK Aviva brand understands and embraces their individuality, generating awareness of the “skins” that are available to help patients individualize their meters, matching them to their lifestyles.

Interactive Music Creation Experience
In addition to “dressing up” their meter through the Interactive Design Experience, users are given the ability to either select pre-made music from a variety of musical genres or to create their own music using the Interactive Music Creation Experience—users with or without musical talent can select a musical style and build their own unique tune using SpectraCom’s innovative Music Creator.  Anyone can change instruments or arrangements, building their own music to match their skin design using an intuitive, point-and-click interface, listen to their creation in progress, and when they’re happy with what they’ve created, save it to share via email and on social networks like MySpace and Facebook.

Social Network Sharing
The viral loop is closed through the display of Rock My Meter creations within a voting environment—visitors can see, enjoy, and be inspired by the creations made by other Rock My Meter users, and vote for their favorites.  The users who have designed skins and music can also see their past creations, email them to their friends, and share them through social networking sites such as MySpace and Facebook with links back to the Rock My Meter Experience to help drive further viral traffic to the site, and building brand awareness.
